Hi everyone, a very Happy New Year to you all, and I hope you had a great Christmas too! It all got into gear for me with a fantastic event at the O2 Arena in London - it was a fabulous event in front of around 15,000 people and I very much enjoyed it to say the least! A big thank you to all who traveled down to support me, and do keep your eyes peeled to my YouTube channel as we will be uploadig videos from the event very soon, a big thank you to Amanda for providing them for us. Of course, for reviews, photos and fantastic chatter, then pop in to my forums where there is plenty to see and chat about, including my dwindling position in our forum fantasy football competition! (The fat lady hasn't sung just yet!)
Last year was a great one for me in so many ways, yet frustrating at the same time with the delay to the release of my new album; as things get back to work, I am hopeful to let you know what the latest situation is regarding the release, so all I can say is keep patient - if I can do it, then you all can! It goes without saying that your support has been invaluable to me so a big thank you again.
I'll be back in soon, but in the meantime, my love and best wishes to you all, and may 2010 be all you could hope for.

Hi everyone,
I hope this message finds you all well; it has been a busy time since I last posted an update - many concerts, a busy radio schedule, and a wonderful holiday on board the Queen Mary II for my Caribbean Cruise which was a wonderful experience, it's only a shame to have to come back to the as ever shocking weather here in the UK!
A few things to tell you about; we have just launched a Charity CD for the new Salford Christie's Appeal - famous artist Harold Riley and myself have got together in conjunction with The Salford Advertiser and have put together a packaged CD containing a painting of Harold's along with my new version of the song "Dirty Old Town" which he asked me to record when I recently sat for him for a drawing. There are 500 limited edition CD's available signed by the both of us up for grabs, and it goes without saying that the money raised is going to such a worthwhile cause. For those of you interested, follow these links: http://www.christies.org/news/2009/201109a.aspx, http://www.christies.org/Salford/default.aspx so you can make your order. I understand there are a few left so don't miss out on this collectors item. Also, tickets for my debut at London's O2 for the Christmas Spectacular are nearly sold out, so do check the details on my appearance section to make your booking.
I'll be back with more soon, but my love and best wishes to you all as always.

Hi everyone,
I hope this message finds you all well; it has been a busy few weeks culminating with my performance on the BBC Salford Proms In The Park event which was a huge success; my thanks again to all those who came from all over the country to support me and it was great to speak to you too! I very much enjoyed the event despite having a disk problem in my back that suddenly came on; perhaps an early sign of old age but I'm getting better now!
Lots to tell you about but always a great idea to keep checking the appearances section for upcoming concerts; some great ones ahead with my debut at The O2 Arena in London at the end of the year, another couple of superb events for Cunard and The Queen Mary II, the boat I shall be soon enjoying a much needed holiday on, and Christmas concerts coming in thick and fast!
Don't forget too that on the forums you can find up to date news, as well as some great competitions too that are running, especially our fantasy football one that is gathering pace, and yes, I am near the bottom of the league! please do come in and chat on there and keep leaving your feedback for my BBC Radio Lancashire Radio Show every
Sunday 4-6pm UK time - we had our one year anniversary recently and my figures keep going up and up so thank you again for all your support and keep requesting and tuning in!
I'll be back with more soon, but in the meantime my love and best wishes to you all as always.

There are some tickets left so visit the "appearances" section of the site for more details and get your tickets asap! For those not able to attend, those who are digital viewers can view the whole concert via BBC Interactive and pressing your red button. It really promises to be a spectacular event. More great concert news in that on December 23rd I will be making my debut at London's O2 Arena as part of Raymond Gubbay and Classic FM's Christmas Spectacular concert, again, more details available via the "appearances" section.
A bit of fun for us all now the footy season is underway is now available via the main forum on the forums; a fantastic competition available to all thanks to Alf - just chose your 3 strikers from the list whom you think will score the most goals in the season and let the games begin! Prizes for the winners, lots of fun and banter, it's free so pop in and come and join the fun!

Hi everyone, I hope you are all well - things are ticking along nicely now, I am very much looking forward to my performance on Sunday 26th July at the Q-uex Prom concert in Margate, it promises to be a great event. I can also confirm that I will be appearing at the BBC televised Salford Prom on September 12th which I am delighted to be involved with, and we are just finishing the final negotiations for my debut at the O2 Arena in London on December 23rd so lots of great things happening.
As for the album, the same situation really so I cannot as yet confirm a release date; it is looking like an early 2010 release which I know is frustrating, more so for me than anyone, and many thanks for all your messages telling me how much you want it out there as we do, we have to remain patient whilst a recovery to this recession sorts itself out, but all I can say is that I am confident it will be worth the wait! (I hope so anyway!)
There's a great competition available to all Michael Bublé and Josh Groban fans out there courtesy of our friends at Peter Noble PR; you can win their new Blu-ray DVD's, all you have to do is check out the competition via my forums, you'll see the rules and guidelines on the main forum menu, its a lot of fun so check it out and get your answers in there!
More footage is soon to be added to my youtube channel so keep checking back there, and there will be some downloads available soon from recent performances so lots to look forward to and keep tuning in to Why We Love on BBC Radio Lancashire every Sunday 4-6pm UK time.
Anyway, I'll be back in soon so in the mean time, my love and best wishes to you all.

Hi everyone, I'm just dropping by to say hello - I hope you all had a great Christmas and New Year as I did; there are lots of things to look forward to this year as things progress; news of an official album release date will appear soon - the industry like many others has been hit by the credit crunch and has slowed things down a little, but as things start to get back on track we will soon announce more details as we are pretty much good to go and I am as eager as you are to get my second solo album "Artist" out there. I am also very proud to have become the Patron for EDN (Eating Disorder Network) and am working closely with them for fundraising and promoting their cause which is so vital to so many, there is a link to their website on my links page so please do have a look and there is also a way to make a much needed donation.
Various events are now coming in thick and fast which we will be adding to the site, a couple coming up that are televised are my performance for The Six Nations Rugby International between England and Scotland at Twickenham on March 21st to be shown on BBC TV, and at Preston North End Football Club for their game against QPR on May 2nd to be shown on Sky Sports. Both these, many others, and news of a tour we are working on putting together now will follow so keep checking back for more details.
I am also happy to announce now that thanks to my webmaster, Nay, we now have our very own new Youtube channel which features many new videos of performances for you to enjoy which we shall keep updated as more come in; there is a link via the homepage so do check it out and feel free to leave your thoughts. Also. we have a new podcast feature for my BBC Radio Lancashire shows for you to enjoy as well as tuning in to hear me live every Sunday 4-6pm UK time.
My love and best to you all and continued thanks for all your support.

Well, it's been a wee while since I updated the news section; my bad! It's certainly been a busy time of late; we're pretty much finished with the new album "Artist" which is now looking like it will be hitting the shops around March 2009. There are many interesting developments in discussion and negotiation at this stage which can take a little longer than we'd all like and the team feel its best to release at the most productive time so apologies to those losing patience as I'm itching myself for you all to hear it too, so hang in there! Be warned though, there may be one or two surprises and it's a bit different to Northern Light but certainly in a good way.
I'm also almost at the end of my series "Why We Love" on BBC Radio Lancashire which i must say, as well as being a real learning curve it's been great fun, and thank you all for your support on the show. After the summer break I can confirm I will be going live every Sunday afternoon, 4-6pm (UK) with a similar show where you can phone, e mail or text during the show so I'll look forward to and be scared too of some interaction with you lot, so be nice! We'll confirm times and dates very soon.
As you will notice, the diary is starting to fill up now, we've added a few dates to the appearance section already but many more are to follow so please do keep checking back in case I'll be singing near you, or better still, come say hi via the forums on the street team. Anyway, I hope you are all well, and again a big thank you from everyone in the team and myself for all your support. Have a great summer, stay safe and look after yourselves. (I'm sounding more like Jerry Springer every day!!)
Best wishes,
Jon.xxx
